What is Website Hosting?

As a business needs a premises to operate from - a website too needs a place to operate from.

When completed, a website needs to be stored somewhere which then allows it to be accessed and visible by everyone out on the Internet. The website host is the place where we store the website once we have constructed it.

Where do you go to do this?

Right here. Koblens Design has its own webserver where we store the websites for all our clients. This allows us to closely monitor all of our clients and make sure that their websites are always running as best they can.

How much does it cost?

For the websites we build for our clients, webhosting and the set-up of the hosting is free for the first 12 months. After that it depends on how big your site is and how much storage it needs and how much traffic which equates to bandwidth it requires. We advise our clients of this prior to constructing the site so they know well in advance what they are facing down the track.

If I have a site and want Koblens to host it - how much will it cost?

It depends on what you require which we are happy to work out with you but in most cases people will require the minimum hosting package listed below which starts at a low $110.00 per year inclusive of GST

Koblens Primary - $110.00 per year
Koblens Secondary - $220.00 per year
Koblens Tertiary - $330.00 per year
Koblens Unlimited - POA

I want a name how do I get it and at what price?

When you get Koblens Design to build your site we will take care of all of that for you. Let us know what name you would like, whether that be a .com or .com.au, .net, .net.au, .org ....... name and we will register it for you. Name prices vary however the list below gives you an idea:

.com - $33.00 - 1 year
.com.au - $110.00 - 2 years
.net - $33.00 - 1 year
.net.au - $110.00 - 2 years

I want to get credit card orders how secure is it?

We can setup and provide all our customers with a secure 128 bit SSL secure certificate allowing the maximum security for accepting credit card transactions on the Internet similar to what banks and major online e-stores use.

Our SSL Certificates start at $88.00 for 12 months coverage
